Bleasdale is rich in history and producing some of Australia’s most exciting, consistently impressive premium wines.

The youngest of Frank Potts the second’s eleven children, Lloyd Stanley (Sticky) Potts, was a motorcycling enthusiast all his life. In 1932 he entered his first Australian Grand Prix at Philip Island and came second. The front label depicts a young Sticky practicing his speedway “Broad -Side” turns. This wine shows the harmony of these three varietals with plum and blackcurrant fruits, typical chocolate character from the Shiraz and boysenberry spice from the Malbec.

“A 63/26/13% blend destemmed and crushed, open-fermented with pumpovers, 7-11 days on skins, matured for 9 months in American and French oak (10% new). Top gold Adelaide and top gold Rutherglen Wine Shows ’16, the value verging on the absurd. With black fruits in the ascendant, it has the tannin structure and flavour complexity of a wine two or three times as expensive” – 95 Points & Special Value Wine James Halliday
