Wellington Road is the original name for the road that connects Langhorne Creek with the River Murray crossing town named for the Duke of Wellington. It is on this road that Bleasdale has sat since it was established in 1850.

Blended from some of the best parcels of Shiraz, Cabernet (and Malbec) from the 2015 harvest. This wine shows an abundance of black fruits – blackberry, blackcurrant and plum with a well balanced, medium-bodied palate. The tannins and oak contribute to the structure and length of this traditional Langhorne Creek blend. Shiraz (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (26%) and Malbec (9%)

“60% shiraz 26% cabernet sauvignon, 9% malbec, the shiraz and malbec destemmed, the cabernet destemmed and crushed, open-fermented, 11-15 days on skins, matured in French oak (25% new) for 12 months. The two important wine shows (Melbourne and National) that gave the wine gold medals in ’16 got it right, the two that gave it ?only’ silver got it wrong. This is positively mouthwatering and lipsmacking stuff, deserving serious attention, but more likely to be greedily gulped.” – 95 Points & Special Value Wine James Halliday
