‘The Perfect Muscat
Awarded 100 Points Wine Spectator ( an Australian first! )
Campbells Wines are toasting the success, with the announcement that their Merchant Prince Rare Rutherglen Muscat has received a perfect score of 100 points from respected wine magazine Wine Spectator.
This is the first time in the history of the magazine than an Australian wine has been awarded a perfect score, from more than 11,000 Australian wines reviewed.
The ultimate in intensity. Raisined sweetness explodes on the front of the palate. Complex nutty flavours flow through the full length of the palate and the drying tannin finish lingers for many minutes.
“Dark amber in colour, this is complex and wonderful with exquisite balance, richness, depth and length, finishing on a note of amazing finesse and delicacy”
– 100 Points Harvey Steiman, Wine Spectator
‘Our Merchant Prince is classified “Rare” – it is the pinnacle, the richest, most complex
and complete wine.” – Winemaker Colin Campbell
This wine may be enjoyed with coffee and petit fours, or the richest of Belgian chocolate, but its myriad of flavours and lingering palate warrant enjoying it on its own.
No need for cellaring as the wine style is determined blending and will not improve in the bottle.
