Over twenty years Fraser Gallop have learnt exactly which vineyard rows produce the finest grapes, and these are hand picked for the Palladian wines from their single vineyard site. Minimal interventionist winemaking – gentle movement of fruit with the added assistance of time in larger puncheon barrels. The resulting wines are thoughful, persuasive and aspirational with only a very limited quantity of 3 barrels made.
“A beautiful, very refined and complex wine. The bouquet shows low-level sulfides, smoky oak aromas and rich fruit. The palate is delicate, tight and fine, with terrific intensity, line and length. A top chardonnay. (Gingin clone, no malolactic fermentation, wild fermented in 50/50 puncheons and barriques, 70% new. 120 dozen produced)” – 97 Points Huon Hooke
“Estate-grown, matured for 9 months in Burgundian special toast puncheons. The bouquet has some smoky nuances, but wow, it gives no warning of the incredibly pure, intense and long palate, grapefruit and white peach locked in an eternal embrace.” – 98 Points James Halliday
