Gaelic Cemetery Wines is joint venture between Neil and Andrew Pike of Pikes Wines, vigneron Grant Arnold and the Barletta brothers Ben and Mario. The brief for the partnership is quite simple and that is to craft small volumes of super premium Clare Valley wines that best reflect, vintage, variety and the uniqueness of place.
“Beautiful perfume here – blossoms, lime and green apple – leading into a lean yet curiously flavoursome palate featuring a fine acidity, and very appealing slate and brick dust texture. Super length, finishing with a real lemonade tang (the intensity of flavour meant here, rather than sweetness). Smashing.” – 95+ Points Gary Walsh

“More structured than its more approachable Celtic Farm sibling, crushed and destemmed, fermented with wild and cultured yeast. The difference between this and Celtic Farm is striking: while there is an abundance of fruit, this has greater structure and texture, its minerally acidity bolder. Has all the ingredients to develop into a great riesling with a minimum of 5 years in bottle.” – 96 Points James Halliday
