“It’s shaping as one of the greatest Polish Hill rieslings ever.” – 97 Points Huon Hooke
‘One of the best ever.’ – 5 Stars & Outstanding Winewise
Grosset Wines is an independently owned winery producing nine highly regarded premium wines each vintage. Established in 1981, the winery is situated in the historic township of Auburn in South Australia’s Clare Valley. There are four estate-owned vineyards; each is located in higher altitude country just north of the winery; each is certified organic and all fruit is hand-picked and processed through the organically certified winery at Auburn.
The significantly later harvest has produced an extraordinary ‘Polish Hill’. Voluminous floral aromatics, with hints of talc and lavender, produce an exuberant youthfulness that gives vitality to a palate fleshed out by concentrated lime juice. The tight structure is there without the steeliness; controlled power, intensity and that characteristic ultra-dry character that thrills on the finish.
A great ‘Polish Hill’ adding a touch of difference to the legend.
“Light straw hue. Lovely fresh aromas of lemon pith, candlewax and creamy notes. The palate is crisp and lively with intense lime and lemon fruit flavour and balanced refreshing acidity. A superb young riesling. The intensity and crystalline clarity in both aroma and flavour is outstanding. It’s shaping as one of the greatest Polish Hill rieslings ever.” – 97 Points Huon Hooke
“Intensely limey – there’s even a hint of kaffir leaf to make it more interesting. It’s a wine of linear acidity and great length of flavour. One of the best ever.” – 5 Stars & Outstanding Winewise
“This is a ravishing riesling of the highest order, X-factor multiplied. Throw up any part (flesh, juice, skin, pith) of lime or lemons of any kind, add ethereal acidity and marvel at the elegance and length of the palate. Jeffrey Grosset is the undisputed king of the Clare Valley.” – 98 Points & Top Wines of 2017 James Halliday
