A traditional winemaking approach was used to produce this wine – whole berry fermentation in open vessels for two weeks followed by an 10 month maturation in French oak barrels.
The fruit for this wine was sourced north facing Lusatia Park Vineyard, sited in the red volcanic soils of Woori Yallock.
“Matured for 10 months in French oak. Bright crimson, and typical of the Upper Yarra Lusatia Park vineyard, with linear drive and power to its blend of red fruits and fine-grained savoury/foresty tannins. The length and depth of the palate are exceptional” – 97 Points & Special Value Wine James Halliday
