97 Points & Special Value Wine James Halliday
Living smack bang in the middle of McLaren Vale, they flourish on producing perfect parcels of fruit on their 100 hectare ‘Taranga’ property. Their collection of small batch, handcrafted wines speak of both the variety and vintage, capturing a time and place, while continuing to document the family’s ongoing 179 year relationship with the land.
2020! What a year…. for many reasons, and not many of the great. Except when it comes to wine, especially this Grenache. Pretty much a drought year, but these old bush vine Grenache have delivered the goods again. OT snuck a few whole bunches in the Grenache this year, so you may notice a bit of a floral lift and lovely long tannins to round out the palate. Glory to Grenache!
“Bright, clear colour; a highly fragrant bouquet full of energy as red berries/ foresty nuances. The palate is wonderfully harmonious, following the path set by the bouquet. Juicy bliss” – 97 Points & Special Value Wine James Halliday
