One of Australia’s most highly acclaimed sparkling wine labels, Pirie Tasmania is the latest evolution of Dr Andrew Pirie’s belief that Tasmania can be one of the truly great wine regions of the world.
The wine is made from Chardonnay 55%, and Pinot Noir 45%, grown in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley with a small percentage from the East Coast.
“Pours on the flavour. Power plus. Brown bread, peach, citrus and smoked strawberries. Bursting to impress. And so it does. Excellent release.” – 93 Points Campbell Mattinson
“There is elegance and effortless balance in this single vineyard Tamar Valley fizz capturing the lemon zest and white peach freshness of Tasmanian Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. One of the standout non-vintage sparklings on the shelves this year, and one of the best value. 12.5%. 93 Points” – Tyson Stelzer
“A 55/45 chardonnay pinot noir blend based on the 2011 vintage, this is the sparkling trophy winner from the 2016 Tasmanian Wine Show. It has remarkable character and complexity for a bubbly of its price. For a wine that’s spent three years on lees, it’s a gift.” – 95 Points Huon Hooke
