Adrian Rodda has been making wine since 1998 and served more than a decade at Oakridge Wines in the Yarra Valley, Adrian moved to Beechworth and now produces wines with fruit sourced from the regions oldest vineyards.
A section of Willow Lake Vineyard’s Parkinson’s Road Block was planted in 1979 in brown, gradational soils over clay at an elevation of 270 metres above sea level. Unlike the majority of the Willow Lake Vineyard, the Parkinsons Road block has a consistent, southerly aspect across the entire block.
“Made in exactly the same manner as the Smiths Vineyard, the intention for ?each wine to be an expression of the site and region’. The Upper Yarra, even more than the Lower Yarra, is all about finesse and length; grapefruit is the anchor of the fruit flavour, accompanied by white peach. The 30% new oak has largely been swallowed by the intensity of the fruit.” – 96 Points & Special Value Wine James Halliday
