Could this be one of the Bargain Cabernets of 2017?
Rosily Vineyard is situated on Yelverton Road in the Willyabrup sub region of Margaret River. The total vineyard size is 12.27 hectares. The Cabernet Sauvignon Block represents 18% of total plantings. Only fruit from this vineyard is used in the production of their wines. The wines are all made at the winery constructed on the property in the year 2000
“Deep, dark red colour with a strong tinge of purple and an oak-driven bouquet, which has a trace of funk and sweat. This breathed off quickly, leaving dark berries and violets. The wine is concentrated and sumptuous in its fruit flavour and ample firm tannins. A big, generous mouthful of cabernet, ripe and balanced and well-structured for the long haul.” – 95 Points Huon Hooke
“Picture perfect Margaret River Cabernet at a bargain price. Blackberry and blackcurrant, violet, black olive and bayleaf, touch of creamy spiced vanilla oak. Medium bodied, red and black fruits, freshness and density, but delivered with a light touch. Tannin is ripe and gravelly, the finish savoury and long, layered with tobacco and dried herb perfume. Say no more.” – 94 Points & Top Value Gary Walsh
“A flurry of regional flavours of blackberries, boysenberries, choc-mint, warm soil and bay leaf with cedary oak in check. There’s detail on the medium-bodied palate and the raw silk tannins adding another layer of complexity. Neatly composed and drinking brilliantly now, better with extra bottle age.” – 95 Points & Special Value Wine Jane Faulkner for James Halliday’s Wine Companion
