The 2017 Barossa Grenache is crafted in a ‘jovan’ style – released young and without oak maturation. The Grenache was vinified through the historic Gravity Cellar. The jovan style allows for a perfumed and fruit-dominant wine, displaying bright cherry and cranberry fruit, with textured plum skin tannin.

The vineyard is entirely bush-vine planted ( no wire trellis or posts ) which dictates only hand pruning and hand picking.

“A completely delicious, youthful, lip-smacking, unoaked grenache that is bursting with flavour and vibrancy. Pitch-perfect red fruit in the crushed raspberry and cherry sphere. The palate is bright and warming at the same time. A lighter, youthful style. Easy to drink and love” – 95 Points & 5 Stars Toni Paterson, The Real Review.

“Bright, medium-deep red-purple colour, the bouquet intensely peppery, spicy and smoky/charry – fruit driven and very attractive. The wine is medium-full bodied and lively, almost fiery, warm from its generous alcohol and long on the follow-through. The tannins are soft and easygoing and the wine is very approachable in its extreme youth. The palate is flooded with crushed raspberries, blackberries, mixed spices and ground peppercorns. A delicious young grenache.” – 93 Points Huon Hooke
