This is the fourth Stargazer Pinot Noir to come from the Palisander Vineyared. Located in the Tee Tree sub-region of the Coal River Valley.
Bright ruby crimson in colour, the nose has a little gunpowder reduction which opens up to reveal a lively combination of red and black fruits. Maraschino cherries and blackcurrants dominate, but there is some chinotto and pepperberry spiciness there also. The palate is compact and coiled, layered tannins coming in early and supporting the ample fruit right through to the finish.
“The seductive bouquet exudes dried rose petals, spices and some darker foresty notes underneath. The intense palate is all class, blending purity, precision and power.
