Established in 1998, Sutton Grange Estate combine traditional and modern techniques, to produce two labels, Fairbank – the original name of the property in the 19th Century — and this little beauty the Estate range.

The Sutton Grange Estate Syrah is the purest expression of the property. 2018 Vintage at Sutton Grange was one of the great seasons ever experienced. A series of favourable events that year – rainfall at the right times, great flowering and ripening conditions. Coinciding with the 20th year of vines in the ground, 2018 was a lovely chance to enjoy the spoils of an established vineyard. The 2018 Estate wines celebrate a benchmark year.

“Hand-picked in small batches from the best sections of the vineyard, fermented separately, building a wine with 15% whole bunch, 85% whole berry. Open-fermented, with an average of 9 days on skins, matured for 18 months in French oak (25% new). It’s medium-bodied, but offers a multiplicity of flavours, texture and structure; the fruit ripened a point, filling the mouth and very long palate.” – 97 Points & Special Value Wine James Halliday
